Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure my quilt?

Simply lay it out flat and measure the length in inches, then the width.  Multiply those measurements and you'll get the square inch size of the quilt.

How much backing and batting do I send?

To get your quilt properly loaded on the machine, we need at least 4" extra backing on each side.  In other words, if your quilt is 64" x 82", the backing needs to be at least 72" x 90".  Please make sure the batting is at least the same size as your top.

Can you supply backing or batting?

We sure can.  We carry Quilter's Dream in 80/20 Blend White, Natural and Black, 100% Cotton White and Natural, Poly White and Black, Bamboo and Natural Wool.

We have a limited supply of 108" wide cotton fabrics.  Contact us for more info.

*If you are shipping your quilt to us, you can save on shipping costs by not sending batting.  We price our batting by the square yard, rather than linear so you only pay for that amount you need.  No more 12" x 96" scraps!

What size quilts can you handle?

We can load up to 118" wide.

I want you to piece my backing but I want the pattern matching.  How much fabric will I need?

That depends on the pattern repeat.  Call us and we'll work through that with you.

What other info do you need when I send my quilt in?

What is "UP" on your quilt top.  Mark it with a safety pinned note.
Color preference for the top and backing thread.
E2E Design preference.
Due date - When do you need it back?

How much is return shipping?

Currently we return your quilt free.

How long will it take to get my quilt back?

That depends on the season and backlog.  However, we will let you know if we are backed up BEFORE you send your quilt in.

I live in the area.  Can I drop my quilt off?

We'd love to have you do that.  However, we ask that you call/text/email first so we can make sure we're available for your visit.

Can I pay with a credit or debit card?

Yes!  We can take Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.  We also accept checks or we can connect via Venmo, Zelle or Pay Pal.

What are your terms and conditions?

Payment is due upon completion.

Finally, PREP FOR SUCCESS!

Press your quilt top, making sure your seams lay where you want them. This helps from getting them turned during quilting. Press your backing to remove the creases from the bolt.

Trim your threads. They can get caught at the most inopportune times and you DON’T want them to be a “feature” of your quilt.

Please note!

Pricing includes trimming of quilt to be ready for binding.  If you DO NOT want your quilt trimmed, make sure you specify.
